Check the rising damp hypothesis

Rising damp concerns moisture moving from the ground through porous building materials. Marks near the base of a wall can guide an investigation, but they are not sufficient proof on their own. Leaks, surrounding ground levels and other water entry need to be considered in context.

Prepare a simple plan

Record room dimensions, affected walls, below-ground areas and recent changes to surfaces or outside landscaping. This helps frame concrete questions about stated coverage and the installation position required in the manual. The usable floor area alone is not enough information.

Compare without an automatic recommendation

ATE LC15, ATE LC30, ATE LC30 PULSE and ATE MAX belong to the mains-powered ATE range. ATG LC15 and ATG LC30 are presented without an electrical supply. The presence or absence of a socket should not be the only selection criterion. The intended use and installation requirements must also fit the situation.
