Connect a claim to its intended use
Ask which moisture mechanism the claim concerns. A statement about rising damp cannot simply be extended to leaks or rain penetration. The model, masonry and installation conditions also need to be specified to understand the scope of an assertion.
Separate different forms of evidence
Electrical or electromagnetic compliance addresses the requirements in that document. It does not alone demonstrate wall drying performance. For a performance study, examine the measurement method, initial condition, follow-up, building circumstances and work carried out at the same time.
Prepare interpretable monitoring
Use consistent points and comparable measurement conditions. Record relevant weather, incidents and repairs. Before-and-after photographs may show a visual change without measuring moisture inside the wall. If findings are difficult to reconcile, seek suitable analysis rather than drawing a universal conclusion from one result or testimonial.
