Wireless rising damp devices: what does “wireless” mean?

Clarify the description

“Wireless” may refer to no power cord, radio communication or simply a commercial description. It does not necessarily identify the product’s technology or intended use. Ask what the manufacturer means and verify the exact model. A short label is not a specification.

Separate power from connectivity

In the Humidité Conseil range, ATE devices use mains power while ATG devices are presented without an electrical supply. This does not automatically imply Wi-Fi, a mobile application or remote control. Any such feature needs to appear in the documentation for that model.

Check the other requirements too

No cable does not remove positioning requirements or the need to understand the damp. An ATG is not a repair for a leak simply because the room has no socket. Prepare a building plan, read the manual and ask for clarification where the terminology does not allow a confident choice.
